MC Shiraz 2022
$43.00
The 2022 is similar to the Lewis Road 2022, but more intense wild berry fruit and oak on the aroma and palate.
MC Shiraz 2021 - Only a few dozen left - A fist in a velvet glove this vintage. Nice fruit aromatics of cherry and wild berries that carry to the palate. This wine is about elegance and power as the palate is smooth with plenty of fruit flavour and subtle tannins which gives no indication of the 15% alcohol meaning the ripe fruit carries the alcohol without a hint of warmth.
James Flynn Shiraz 2021
$85.00
LIMITED AVAILABILITY
True to the James Flynn style, full bodied, intense lifted aromatics and lashings of fruit nicely backed up with French and US oak on the palate.
The 2021 spent 3 years in oak prior to bottling. The colour has the signature James Flynn and Heathcote depth of purple. The aroma of spice, mulberries, ripe cherry integrated French oak and subtle mint from the American oak. A lovely full bodied mid palate with balanced tannin for long ageing and yet a mouth filling smoothness leading to a long after taste. Try it now, or age it for 8 to 10 years and try another in 20 years.
Lewis Road Shiraz 2022

NEW RELEASE
We have just moved onto the Lewis Road Shiraz 2022. Nicely balanced, lifted cherry fruit aroma. More elegant on the palate than the 2021 yet at a full bodied 15% alcohol.
Keeping in contact with David Ashton-Lewis a descendant of the original Lewis family who owned my now vineyard site from the mid 1800’s. The original Lewis family grew fruit trees and vines on the site and I am sure they would be happy with the new vintage of their name sake wine.

Carménère 2023
$43.00
LIMITED AVAILABILITY
Our Carménère vintage continues to be a sell out vintage year-on-year. We are excited to release the 2023 Flynns Carménère. This wine holds a great story to its history. Originally a variety of the Bordeaux region in France, it was thought extinct after the phylloxera infestation of the late 1800's. However, after genetic testing of a grape variety in Chile which was referred to as Merlot, it was found that the variety was actually Carménère. Very small plantings have been trialed in the Heathcote region and this fruit comes from one such experimental planting. Carménère is genetically related to Cabernet Sauvignon so it displays similar characteristics or blackcurrant aroma but adds spiciness, earthiness and a deep crimson colour. Our tiny productions of this wine was matured in older French oak barrels for 18 months.
Enjoy now and try progressively over the next 6-8 years
MC Shiraz Magnum 2021
MEMBERS ONLY - $155.00
COMPLIMENTARY WITH AN ORDER OF TWO DOZEN OR MORE
The 1.5L bottle is perfect as a centrepiece at dinner parties and a great novelty for sharing with family and friends while entertaining. Wine in magnum also cellars for longer than a 750ml bottle. The larger the bottle the longer the ageing potential while sitting in your cellar. It’s estimated the 1.5L magnum will cellar twice as long as 750ml bottle, however I would be more conservative than this with the time it's kept.
At Flynns Wines we hand bottle a small number of magnums (approximately 145) of the MC Shiraz annually. The glass is an imported Italian bottle which perfectly suits ageing in a larger vessel. Each bottle is individually numbered on the front label.
Dirty Pink Rosé 2025

NEW RELEASE
The ‘Dirty Pink’ is back. A light coloured dirty pink this year. I have used as previous vintages the traditional French Provence varieties of Grenache and Shiraz. A lightly perfumed aroma leads to a dry fruity palate.

More tropical both aromatics and on the palate. A short time on French oak gives this wine a little more texture on the palate.
Vermentino 2023
SOLD OUT
Lovely lean and crisp (wish I could say the same about myself after lockdown!). It's been a well-balanced vintage this year, a bit more rain, a little less heat, slower ripening of the berries and ideal pH levels has produced delicate aromatic, fruit driven whites. The Vermentino retains its savoury baked apple and citrus characters and with an alcohol level of just 12% allows the opening of the second bottle with friends.
